I have a 16 dauntless. I am considering have dual batteries installed. Any other dauntless owners out there with dual batteries? Where do you have the second battery installed?

Any dauntless owners who have installed a CD Player? Where did you put the speakers?

Thanks

Gigabite,

I have 2 batteries on my Dauntless 14. Installed in the CC, connected with a Perco switch and also installed an on board battery charger. System works great.

No stereo, but do have a VHF radio.

Thanks! Did you do the wiring yourself?

Gigabite,

I installed the charger myself. It was a piece of cake. Had the dealer install the switch along with some other electrical work, downrigger wiring, connector install, TM wiring etc.

The reference section has some info on the switch install or you can get/ask for info here or at http://www.wmi.org/boards/electronics/index.html . A guy named Thom is the resident guru on a lot of things electronic.

I had 3 batteries in the console when I had my Dauntless 16. 1 cranking & 2 deep cycle for the trolling motor on the bow. Also had a Minnkota charger mounted in the console to recharge the deep cycles.
