What brand of oil do other Optimax owners use? Do you use Mercury's Optmax/DFI Premium oil only, or do you use other companies oil for DFI engines (e.g Yamalube for DFI engines/Pennzoil Synthetic oil, etc...)

Any preferences for one or the other or any concerns/warnings?

At the price of the engine I use Mercury DFI Optimax oil only. The price structure is in line with the other engine makers oil.It works well and if a warranty problem arises Mercury can not say you used a oil that did not meet there specs.I also use there Corrsion Spray every three mo. on power head and there brand of tube grease on prop shaft every three mo.The grease on prop shaft is like the day I put it on after three mo.use no other grease has held up as well for me.
