I am just about to take delivery of the second to last Montauk made before they changed the shape earlier this year. I want a cover for it that goes over the rails and prevents seagulls and rain from getting in the boat. I live in S. Devon in the UK and the boat will be often left in 'heavy' seagul areas and they can make a real mess !

Does anyone know of any companies that have such an item and the contact details? FYI - I have already got he consul and seat covers coming with the boat.

I have a mills and it covers the entire boat sans engine. Very nice cover. You can get cheaper ones via mailorder. Mills $600, cheaper $250 or so. Couple on E-bay right now starting at $125.

Whaler may have mucked up the model naming with this totally silly three-digit model numbering, but for most of us there really is no such thing as a "classic 170-Montuak"

The "170-Montauk" is the new model; the 17-Montauk is the old model.

The addition of the 0 to the model number was just dumped onto the general public but it has been used in the Whaler system when ordering parts for the last 5 or 6 years.

Thanks Jimh for correcting me on the correct model name !

Bigshot. Do you have a number for Mills, or even better still a website address?

As a newcomer to this area I find it surprising that there are not many more suppliers in this market.
