August 15th 22 tall ships from 6 nations will arrive in Seattle. They range from 52' to 185' and will depart on August 19th.

I plan on doing an on water look see on either Saturday August 17th of Sunday August 18th.

Check it out at www.tallshipsseattle.org and [url}http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/69169_tallships04.shtml[/url]

If anyone is interested in joining me for a look at these beautiful ships sound off.

I think the idea of Whalers associating with Tall Ships combines the most beautiful boats on the water.

Not thinking of anything complicated. Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy these beautiful sailing vessels.

Dick - thanks for the information. I would join you if it weren't for my daughter's wedding on the 16th which ties us up for the preceeding week and the following week is committed too. Is the tallship event an annual event? This is the first time I have heard of it in the Seattle area. Thanks again ------- Jerry/Idaho
