Has anyone put a ski pylon in 2003 Montauk. Boston Whaler told me the new Montauk doesn't have the support in the floor to mount a ski pylon. I'm sure someone has done this. Thanks Mike Duncan

I have found that floor support is not that critical with a pylon that has support bars going back to the transom. The support bars take most of the strain but the pylon should be no higher than necessary to clear the motor.

Whalers response was the Montauk was not designed for a ski pylon. Use the hooks on the transom.

I thought the Montauk was an all around family boat for skiing and fishing. I have seen Montauks with ski pylons. What products work and how are they installed?

According to my wood locating diagram the only phenolic/ply on the floor is below the RPS, the console and the cooler chocks. This differs from the classic design where plywood was located basically under the entire floor.
