I am looking for a Mercury dealer that has a fuel pump in stock for a 2003 Mercury 115 EFI four-stroke outboard, part number 880890T1. My dealer has had the boat for a couple weeks now (almost longer than I had the boat in my possession) because the fuel pump is on backorder. Mercury missed the shipping date that they gave us and now say they do not know when they will ship it. Efforts to find one locally have failed.
If anyone knows of one in stock somewhere, please let me know.
Thank You,
-Brian

Did your dealer check to see if Yamaha makes the corresponding part for its 115, which is mechanically identical? Just a thought. Good luck!!

Miller - I called 2 Merc dealers here in Portland, and both confirmed it is backordered until mid-October. One dealer said that if it is backordered because the original design was problematic, they would not release any pumps until the design flaw was addressed. Thus, if you are able to find one, and it happens to be the original design, it may go out on you again.

I checked Merc parts on line today and they are showing that pump available on 10-14-02. That date will only hold true if they get their shipment from the manufacturer as expected.
