Has any owner of a Ventura 210 put trim tabs on their boats? I am looking at a set of Lenco Tabs and was wondering if I need to put on the "Edge Mount" version with regard to how much space is needed on the back of the boat. I would like to use the 12" x 12" set. My boat is in the water, and I haven't measured the area where the tabs will go. Maybe I can walk into my local Whaler dealer and jot down the dimensions if they have a Ventura in the showroom. |

RE: Tabs, Although my 21' Ventura does'nt have them, Whaler installs Bennett usually. These were/are available as an option and you should call whaler customer service and they will give you the exact model and perhaps the engineering drawing. |

Trim tabs are a good idea. They will give you a smoother and more even ride. Check with your dealer. I had them installed before I launched my 210. You will be glad you did. Good luck. |

My memory doesn't allways work at 100% anymore but as I recall some of the newer Whaler hulls required custom tabs. Bennett is the way to go as they have made some of these custom tabs for Whaler. |

Thanks! MarineMax has a sale of 15% off optional parts this month, and they sent me a $25 gift certificate for the holidays. This should provide some savings off the price and they will probably be the "factory recommended" tabs since they are offcial Whaler dealers. |

I am also looking to add trim tabs to my 210 Ventura. Any pic's or replies would be greatly appreciated. |

When I bought my 210 Ventura in 02 it came with Bennetts installed by Whaler. They make a huge different in regards to ride, fuel comsumption, and leveling. http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv129/bluewaterpirate/ Two%20of%20a%20Kind/1.jpg?t=1273251499 http://i676.photobucket.com/albums/vv129/bluewaterpirate/Sternmate/1. jpg?t=1310855398 There you go ..... Thanks for the pic's... Where is your hydraulic power unit located for your trim tabs and is it easily accessible? |

It's located inside my helm console that I can sit in so there is easy access. The pump has worked flawlessly for the last 11 years. I have a little over 4700 hours of underway time on the pump. Tom |

Here's a better picture of just how much space I have under my helm console. You can see the trim tab hydraulic unit in the center left. Tom |
