I am going to install trim tabs on my 20 outrage. The people at bennett suggested a m 120 tab kit but thought I shoiuld look into running my hyd. hoses out with the motor wireing and use a exposed type cylinder. if any one has a 90ish outrage I would like to know if your lines come through the hull or do you have the exposed lines?

Hi

I'm in the OR-20 club-fine boats you gentleman have. We just installed Lencos 12 X 12 the routing of the wires was run through the transom with the chrome plated clamshells. The holes were drilled into the bilge area just lateral to the motor- well approx. 4 inches above the waterline. I would send a picture but the boat is still at the dealer since we are in the midst of an engine swap.

I traded e mail with chuch bennett at whaler yesterday. He is mailing me diagrams of ow they run hydyrolic hoses. Boxers did you have a swim platform? It looks like a 12 would be kind of tight under the swim platform on my boat.thanks for the info on the wireing by the way.

Pat, after I get info from chuck I am going to call you berore I drill any holes. thanks for being so willing to help.

Wayne,

Yes the boat does have the factory swim platform. The installation was really tight! Lenco makes a tab for low clearance situations so that is the one we used. I think it was called "Edge Mount" since the actuator was angled more and the attachment point was at the edge of the trim tab.

uh I ment only found bennett. thanks I may compare the two before buying hyd. although the bennett does seem like the tab of choice, with the new wing design and shorter acuators.
