I have the opportunnity to purchase a 1994 Boston Whaler Outrage with a 1994 200hp Evinrude. I was told the condition of boat from 1-10 would be a 7. It was only used in fresh water, it has: leaning post, bow cushion, swim platform, livewell, bow anchor roller. The only thing it is missing is a trailer. Boat has been left in water with no bottom paint in fresh water and has severe algae marks on bottom, but was told acid hull cleaner would take algae and discoloration off. Asking price is $15,500.00, does anyone know if this is a reasonable price. Thanks in advance for a reply.

Try www.nadaguides.com , as it's the NADA that car dealers and boat dealers use. Click on the boat values and punch in your info. It should give you a decent (spelling?) idea of what it is worth. Good Luck. F14 |

That's a great price assuming the engine checks out and the hull has no damage.Check yachtworld.com or boattraderonline.com for comparable boats. |

I have the same boat. In really clean condition they can sell in the mid twenty's w/trailer. TullyMars just sold one recently for that type of price. Very solid boats. If you can get the hull cleaned up it sounds like a good price. .......Todd |

At that price you can sell the motor and repower and have a great boat as long as the boat is in great shape. I sold mine for $25k though it was a 1996 21' Outrage with T-top and 225hp Evinrude.Just make sure you really look for blisters in gel-coat if it has been left in the water for a time without bottom paint. Acid washing it with On/Off ($10) will get rid of any alge and stains so you can see what you are getting. That would have to be a must before any money exchanged hands. Tully Mars
