Has any one out there installed outriggers on there 23 conquest? I have a 1997 23 ft conquest and I would like to add out riggers to my hard top. I would like to know where to get the outriggers hardware and what brands work best with the Conquest hard top. Some of the whaler marketing pictures make it look like the outrigger equipment goes through the hard top and into the rear aluminum hardtop support pole. Any info would be helpful.

I have the same question...

I am installing outriggers and have seen kits for the hardtop and gunnels, but I wanted to know if they could be installed on the bars that support the hardtop.

pashopper,

I also have a 97 23 Con. w/o Outriggers. I would check with these guys. It appears that this setup would be ideal.

I looked closely at a setup done by Tops and towers in Houston to put Outriggers on a stock Whaler 23 Conquest with factory hardtop. They mounted metal plates about 8x12" both inside and outside the top through bolted together sandwiching the hardtop in the middle, one on each side of the boat. Through the middle of that went the Outrigger mount tube/clamp. On the bottom of the hardtop were two tubes diagonally from the bottom of the mount tube leading fore and aft to the long curved top side tube of the hardtop, each about 18" long. On the top plate, there were 4 triangular gussets welded 90 degrees apart bracking the vertical clamp tube to the flat plate. The whole thing was nicley polished and anodized to match the original hardtop tubing. With I had a picture. You might want to takea look at their web site for similar setups.
