I'm looking at the two pumps (in addition to the bilge) that came with my 18 OR. One is for the bait tanks and the other is for the raw water wash down. The raw water wash-down seems fairly straight forward but what is the procedure for using those deck tanks?

Each one has a gravity fed drain...a pump hose connection…and another hose that drains out the stern of the boat. What is the procedure for not using these tanks (plugging the gravity fed drain and??). And what is the procedure if I want to circulate water through these tanks for use?

Thanks for the help...kinda surprised none of this was covered in the manual.

OK...answered my own question...that maybe others could benefit.

The tanks do not circulate, they fill and drain only. Two ways to fill...1 pull the drain plug and let them flood or 2 use the raw water wash down attached to a hose to fill. To drain...there is a 2nd gravity feed or a pump to evacuate. Also built in the tank is yet another drain that serves as an overflow before the water bubbles up to deck level.

"that" should be "thought" (going too fast)
