Been reviewing info for the best lights for the console at left, right, front, and rear of console... Found the Attwood Man. I see they offer two lights... 1) is an approx. 2.5 inch round light at ??? watts, 2) is a 3 7/16" L. x 1 13/16" H. x 1 3/16" deep at 3.8 watts and 3) 2 15/16" L. x 113/16" H. x 1/8 " deep 5 watt Festoon bulb lamp all in White or Chrome trim... What does everyone find is a great illuminating light at all four sides for night time use to tie knots and even read by while on the water??? Also is there a BUS BAR for these to tie into under the console??? Hopefully if there is a BUS BAR it is tied into the upper Accessory toggle switch! Looks like a great new Montauk on the water season... The Bet.Kim's Revenge will be on the water at the Vineyard Sound and the Long Island Sound and yes the Indian River Bay in Delaware...

I have installed Guest round courtesy lights, 10 watt basic version, #8071. They require a 2" dia hole, and come in a variety of trim ring colors. Highly recommended, and they can be ordered from Shoreway Marine, about $15 each.

See Go to the cabinlight section, where they indicate these courtesy lights, but don't show a picture, unfortunately. If go to this site's Reference section, Transom brackets, you can see one of these in my 25 Outrage, installed in the Beckson access plate near the transom.

That photo is not real clear, especially since I used the lights with the black trim ring. You can get them in many colors or finishes.

These lights hold up very well, and are sealed against moisture. I installed mine about 10 years ago, and they still work fine, even with the original bulbs.

We just finished some courtesy lighting on our OR-20. LEDs are a really nice option. Red ones over the instruments and white ones along the base on the center console and inside. They use 1/10th the watts and are water "proof". The manufactures also claim they will last 200,000 hours. We considered the above and went with the LEDs primarly due to the reduced current draw on the battery. Total up the watts and compare I think 5 watts would power all 9 lights on our boat.

H Cow, I got mine at West Marine but there seem to be alot of sources if if search by using the "Google" search engine. They now have replacements for the standard bulb sizes 1157 and 1156. Maybe our 13 footer will get the LED treatment this summer. It is cool to think just 2 years ago this LED stuff would have been expensive and very hard to find. I will forward a couple sites we book marked. May the boxer be with you too.

Yeppar! Use the gasket from the lamp, trace it with a pencil, plunge it once with a drill, then use a roto-zip for a top-notch cut!
Get reds and clears with different switches. Red for cool night time effects, and when you have to scrub the bloody fish floor, you need a white lite!
