I was in West marine and saw a 13-gallon tank offered by TEMPO that looks like it will fit right in place of the 6-gallon std tank. Would take capacity to 26-gals instead of 12? Anyone tried that arrangement? It appears the tank itself is approximately 11 inches tall while the screw top would be in excess of the minimal height of 13.25" needed to slide back ito place on refueled. I figured the screw top could go back in place once they are slid back in place and secured?

I use a pair of Tempo 13's as reserve capacity under my RPS, 18 Outrage. I have found them to be fine.

Be sure to use teflon tape on all theaded connections, even plastic-to-plastic. This will keep them from leaking, and also keep the air vent tapped a bit when not in use.

You don't want to buy them at West Marine unless you have the Bass Pro marine cataolg for price matching. Bass Pro's price is only $39 each.

4Whaler,

I have one (Tempo 13 gal. H12 X L20 X D14 )that was used one summer in my 15' striper I'll sell for 25 bucks + shipping. I think they are around $60 at boaters world new. I went with a moeller "extra" thin that fits under my bench seat and fits my needs better. Nothing wrong with the Tempo. Reply if you would like more info.
