I am looking to buy a used Coquest 23
In boattraderonline & yachtworld.com I find as low as 35K and as high as 62K. For most 98 and 99 models the asking price seems to be about $45K.
The nadaguides.com give an average retail for the 98 model at about 24K and low retail of 21K
Either the BW owners selling their boat think they are worth more than they really are or the NADA guys are smoking a big one.
Any thoughts ?

Check out bbrvs.com and search on boats, boston whaler, there is a 1999 23 Conquest with 250 Yamaha for $39900 in Long Beach, MS
I think I remember there was one with no motor for about $14k.
Good luck.

I bought a 1997 Conq23 with 225EFI Merc, no trailer in April. Its my fourth Whaler. I don't know of anyone who drops their price because someone walks in with a NADA guide. When I just sold my 20 OR a gentleman tried that and I politely chuckled. My best advice is to get a general price point from the listings, take an average and then figure you are going to pay atleast 75% of that price, more if in great shape, electronics, etc.

Valuation is subjective and there is no perfect formula to say this is over priced, this is under priced. IMO you are not trading your money for another form of currency as if you bought bullion or a Picasso. The sale price is like the price of admission at an amusement park and the specific boat is the attraction. Some offer more thrills than others, and different types of fun. How much and whether it makes you happy is only determined by you.

Thanks for the info.
From what I have seen and now you tell me, it seems that NADA pull their numbers out of a hat.
foliver: $14K for a 23 Conquest without engines sounds like the dealfor me. Unfoutunately it probably sold, since it is no longer listed in bbrvs.com - Thanks anyway !
