Whaler Factory Visit in Edgewater

Many thanks to the nice folks in customer relations in Edgewater last week. I was disappointed to learn a month ago that full tours had been suspended for security reasons but they were gracious enough to take my son and I into final assenbly and even take a few photos.
There appeared to be more 170's coming down the line than any other model and there was a long line of them in the back storage area waiting to be shipped to their homes! What a sight!I beleive they indicated building around 90 total boats a week now.(all models not just montauks)
There was a Nantucket being washed for shipping and I got to crawl on 2 Nantuckets at the Orlando dealer.
The Nantucket is like the Montauk was; the first time you see one in person it looks much larger. I was impressed by the way it looked although the inside deck space really only felt slightly larger than the Montauk.
We really need more reports from those of you who have driven the Nantucket ,but I will say it certainly looked as though it should handle rough water dryer and smoother than the 170 . I am anxious to find if my suspicions are right.
Thanks again to Whaler last week for the hospitality and if you ever get the chance you need to go see it. Total factory covers a lot of ackerage, right on US 1 South just below the city of Edgewater.

Thanks for the report of the factory visit. All comments on the factory tour have been very positive. I hope they can restore that feature at some point.
