osillator	posted 07-28-2003 11:12 PM ET (US)         While visiting the factory in Edgewater earlier this month I learned some interesting facts about their production . They are producing between 90 to 105 boats per week with 2 full shifts 4 days per week. Each shift is 10 hours each , thats 20 hours per day- 4 days a week. Other auxillary shifts that support production work various hours 7 days a week. It was certainly interesting to see that more 170 Montauks were coming down the line than any other model as well as a large number of them waiting for shipment in the freight yard. Someone must be buying these great boats!
lhg	posted 07-30-2003 07:38 PM ET (US)          From what I can tell, the Montauk is the biggest seller, and has pushed Whaler up into the 16th position on top selling fiberglass boats.
