I installed an 8-foot [S]hakespeare-brand antenna mounted on the back of the rear railing support on the right side of the Montauk. Shakespeare sells a nice stainless rail mount for the antenna with a quick release handle. Check out their web site to find it. The beauty of this installation is the antenna is out of the way, and you can still have a bimini top. The anntena can be stored in the down position. I also purchased a Shakespeare Motorola adapter so the I can connect my FM/AM and VHF radio into this antenna and use them at the same time. No performance is lost. Works great. Running the wire to the console is easy and I can provide instructions if you want to do it. The other nice thing is that you do not put holes in the boat with this method. Looks real sharp when done.

Can you provide more details of how you did this and ran the wiring?

In the movie industry this would be called the "teaser trailer". Details with photos would be optimal.
