Any opinions on these boats? I'm considering taking a look at:

Thanks!

Hi Michael -

Obviously, my opinion is highly biased, but this is a great family boat. It is currently in the water at my home in West Bloomfield. I would be happy to show it to you and take you out so that you can judge for yourself.

I've never posted over here in Post Classics - but I have to say with the full walk through windshield and the more enclosed bow seating area, and the wider beam - the Ventura looks like it would be a very comfortable family boat, probably more comfortable than my Montauk. Don't tell the classic guys I said that.

gents. my 2003 ventura 160 is for sale if you care. its mint. 3 people have called me about it and i have managed to talk them all into going bigger and not buying my boat (no one accused me of being bright).

seriously. the boat is awesome. we boat on barnegat bay and its perfect for getting us to F-cove, Tices Shoal, and just cruising. my problem with it is that id be afraid to go offshore with it, which is what i feel i am ready to do.

also the carburated 90 on it is smokey and loud.
