Has any seen any reviews of the new Nantucket? I've only seen a few accounts of on-water performance here on the forum and have been surprised that there isn't more information out there (perhaps there are still too few boats sold). I am considering a purchase sometime over the winter, but would sure like to have more information before buying.

Please let me know if you know of any reviews on the web or in print?

Thanks!

daveK

I have a Nantucket, which I purchased in may, with a Merc 115 4-stroke and a fishing package. I love it. It handles a chop nicely, and sips fuel. What specific questions do you have?

How about some performance figures with the 115HP. Do you feel its underpowered? That's one heavy boat.

I would say that the 115 is acceptable, but it would be nice to have more power. I would not trade the 115 4- stroke for the 135 optimax. It is just such a great running motor. With 5 adults and 2 kids, it takes 6 seconds to get on a plane. The top end is 40 mph with that load. With a 4-stroke, there is no gasoline smell, or oil mist on the boat. I would take the 150 four stoke though, if it was available.
