Only dealer within 400 miles quoted me $22,500 out the door for 2004 Montauk 170, trailer, fishing package, 90Merc 4 stroke, Bimini top. Is this a fair price?
Thanks,
Marsh

Not bad "out the door" price with taxes etc. I would ask what bimini, factory or dealer version. Jim

Hey, when he's the only dealer within 400 miles - he does not have to [i[deal[/i].

Just know what your getting before you go is all. The prop should be stainless steel from the factory also. Some dealers were putting an aluminum prop on the 4-stroke. This is the wrong setup. Good Luck. The current factory top in my opinion is a good one. They have upgraded them in the last 2 years. Jim

Not too bad with the 4. Merc. I did a deal with the 2 stroker 90 for 21,900 fully factory loaded. I went with the 2 stroker for better performance and top speed capabilities. Also the stern weight is less with cargo and personnel in the stern seats. The 4 is definitely suppossed to be equiped with a SS. prop. That is intended to help the performance of the 4 to match the 170 and 2 stroke numbers.

Forgot to mention, my dealer is 5 miles away from me. It is the Twin Cities Marine. They have been very good to me on all my transactions with them.

I think that is a pretty good price. I would get the bow cushion, the Fishing Package and all the lines and Fenders including the coast guard package for that price.

Ensure you get a anchor and chain as well.

You are going to LOVE this boat!!!!
