I have a 2001 23 Conquest and the seat cushions on the helm chairs are falling apart. The snaps are torn and foam is getting deformed.

Seems like Whaler equiped the later years with cheaper seats from Garelick. For those of you with 1997-2000 model years, do you know the Garelick model# of the two helm chairs?

Instead of buying another set of those crappy seat cushions, I like to look into the possibility getting the older style seats.

Thanks,

Ivan

My 21 ft. Conquest helm seats may be the same and are holding up fine. Why not find a local upholstery shop and have them make you a set of insert cushions from your old cushions. You can use your old cushions as patterns.

My 97 23 Con seats are holding up just fine. 303 works wonders.

I saw a set of cushions 4 sale on e-bay. Amazing what they are trading for.

Yes, saw the one on Ebay for sale. My friend pointed me to this and it's exactly the type of seat I want but someone wants it more than I do!

Prices these things fetch is amazing.

The seats on my Conquest are quite different. They're made by Garelick but the cushion simply snaps to the seat with a few straps and no where as heavy duty as these seats. Therefore I'm interested in getting the older style seat frame which is made be Garelick. And then get a set of Whaler cushions and it will be perfect.

Thanks,

Ivan

Dave,

If you have an opportunity, can you get me the Garelick model#? This isn't something I need right away so please don't bend over backwards to get it. Just a long term project I like to address some day.

Thanks much.

Ivan,

I just check my seats. There are no part numbers anywhere on the seat or mounts.
I check the garelick sight and this is what I found.

The pedistal base appears to be #75030
and the slide is #75080.

I checked all of their molded seats that go with these mounts and nothing is exactly like my 97.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. You might have to check with Whaler.

Hi Dave,

Thank you very much for checking on your seats. Too bad there are no model numbers on the plastic molded seats. I have gone through the Garelick site and see two seats which are similar but doesn't look exactly like the Whaler OEM.

Next time I'm at the dealer, I'll ask them for more details. Buying it from Whaler is going to be expensive. I was going to buy a 2nd set of seat cushions for my type of seat and was quoted over $200 per seat!

I'll continue to keep my eyes and ears open for Whaler OEM seats for sale. Probably should have gone after that sale on Ebay.

Thanks again.

-Ivan
