Has anybody put adjustable pedestal seats in there conquest? The factory ones are very uncomfortable, they do not let you look through the windshield without squating, normally out of the seat. I found one but i would have to drill a hole for the tube to slide down through the seat box. The adjustment i need is about 7" to 12". Am i going to hurt anything by drilling that hole.

My Conquest uses a Garelick seat pedestal... http://www.garelick.com/# ... The adjustable pedestal they make should not cause you to drill your seat box. Check their marine products link.....I think this may what you want... http://www.go2marine.com/frameset.jsp?keywords=helm+seat&searchType=regularSearch&servletPath=%2Fg2m&action=DoSearch&x=9&y=6

Kginz, I special ordered this pedestal from Garelick. The other adjustable ones would not go low enough to see through the windshield. What is the adjustment on yours?

I still have the factory installed non-adjustable pedestal installed. I drive standing up most of the time, looking over the windshield with front curtain rolled up. I am planning a different pedestal and a Garelick 48930 seat.

What about cutting the pedestal tube that the seat slips onto?

I thought of that but i found that when the pedestal is raised the support comes from the extra length of the inside tube.
