I have a 1997 23, conquest but I do not have the 3 rod holders located on the transom. I am looking to purchase some stainless steel rod holders and install them this winter but am unsure what angle I should purchase to ensure the rods sit correctly.

Does anyone know what angle the rod holders in the rear are? I believe they may be different than the port and starboard rod holders.

Pashopper,

I have a 1998 OR23. I do have the three rod holders on the back and they are the same angle as the aft two holders on the port and starboard sides. That is the rods basiclly are straight up (15dg) The forward holders on my boat are 45 degree (I think, I have not measured.) and the others are 15 degrees. This is how my boat is set up others may be different.

I hope this helps. If you need me to take a look I might be going down to the boat this Thursday. If you need more clarification drop me a note.

The Perko type holders are mounted on the angled section of the aft console that houses the rear seat. They are aligned for and aft directly with no offset to either side. BillS

I installed two on my conquest a few years ago. They were the 45 deg. ones. It was easy. Use the cup holder holes to reach inside for the bolts. Whaler instals three. I like two. Get the official whaler holders. others dont look good on a whaler.
