I am thinking about installing a recessed tackle box on my 21 foot conquest. I want to install it on the port side above the cooler seat. Has any one done this before? What where the box dimensions?

I have done it on my 27 Outrage. The manufacturer or retailer should have the dimensions listed for the box you are interested in. The biggest install issue you need to pay close attention to , is to make sure that you have full and clear access to the backside of the area you are working in so that you dont cut into anything by accident, and that you can successfully install the box, should it need to be through-bolted, and put pads underneath for support.Good luck .

You might check out the Tempress boxes. They're durable, functional, and they accept the 3700 series tackle boxes avalable at most marine stores and outfitters (like Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc.)

BW offered a flush tackle box in that location (aft of the port side storage panel, above the port aft-facing seat) as an option. The BW part number for that port side flush tackle box is 1000835. Check with your local BW dealer if you want to get the tackle box intended to fit there by BW. Contact BW and maybe they'll provide installation dimensions. You can see the installation on-line in the 'My Whaler' portion of the BW website. Hope your installation turns out as desired.
