I have a 2000 Sport 13, the first of the "post classics" I guess. It has a 30 HP merc, 2 cycle.

I want to replace the prop, probably with a stainless steel one. The original one is an aluminum 10 3/8 diameter, 13 pitch, three blade number.

I really don't want to be a complete expert. I would just like to hear from any Sport 13 owners, year 2000 and after, running the 30 HP Merc. Whaler sold on these, who have done this; and to know what prop they got and how it worked out.

I hope Jim doesn't jump on me and tell me this has been discussed before. I did do a search and, well, got tired looking so I thought a nice, new and specific thread would be great!

Nole, see if you can locate a Quicksilver 12" stailess (quite popular size) and try it out. My guess is that this is the prop for all those rocks around Nutall rise and Mandelay (would also work well in the Econfina. If you have a tach you need to get a prop that will let it spin up to 5500rpm at wide open throttle (WOT). Happy Whalin'.. Clark.. Spruce Creek Navy
