I am the proud new owner of a used '98 18 Dauntless. I have been reading this forum for a couple of years (living vicariously) and have thoroughly enjoyed reading a number of the threads. So I suppose that makes me dangerous - first time owner that thinks he knows a few things. That said, I have a few questions.
My boat had been rigged for a fishing package, but I would like to add the comfort option. I have spoken with BW and found that I can order the bow and stern cushions and back rests. But before I do, I would like to know if these ever come into the used market (especially the back rests).
Also, the marina where I will keep the boat charges $300/yr to store the trailer, but have said they have a party that would be interested in buying my trailer. As the boat will be rack-stored and I will not likely drive it anywhere in the near future (next couple of years), is there any reason to hang onto it? What is a good price for a Performance single-axle trailer in great shape? What would a new one cost me?
Finally, it seems like a big boat to wax. Does anyone use an electric buffer for this size boat?
Thanks in advance,
