This pretty much boils down to personal preference but I was wondering if anyone has a red mooring cover on their 170. I'm looking at the Sunbrella color chart and having a though time choosing between 'logo red' and 'captain navy'. My 170 is coming with red graphics and a blue 2 stroke on the back. I see lot's of blue covers but not many red ones. I think red might look sharp. I was hoping someone had some pictures of their boat with a red cover.

Divedog,

I'll e-mail you a picture of my custom made mooring cover. It's red. I also have red decalls on my 170.

I have the Captain Navy Mills mooring cover. Problem with both red and blue is they absorb too much heat. If I had to do it again, I'd get light grey!

We're going with a red cover, to match

the red Whaler logo,
the red slanted registration numbers I got from Janis,
the red braided dock lines,
the red bimini
our red-lettered Whaler t-shirts
our red #8 Budweiser caps

Shoot Moe, your color coordinated!
Thanks for the pics Erik.
After walking marina today, I think I'm leaning towards the red. There were no other red covers in sight. I'm not too worried about the dark colors absorbing too much heat. I live in Seattle...............
