Thanks in advance for your replies.

I purchased a 2001 13 Sport a few weeks ago. The boat is in great condition but had not been waxed in a while. There were also some stains both inside and outside the boat. My brother recommended using FSR (fiberglass stain remover) to remove the stains.

I spent a few hours on Saturday applying FSR on the outside & inside of the boat. This stuff obviously removes the wax and turned the boat a shade of white that I did not know existed. Its great stuff! The problem was that although it appeared to rinse off when I washed the boat, it did not come off until I waxed the hull. It took a lot of elbow grease to buff the stuff off the hull. It also left the fiberglass on the inside of the boat very chalky in appearance.

My questions:

1. Could this stuff hurt my gel coat?

2. I plan to apply Finesse-It before I wax the inside.
Should use anything else before I wax the inside
fiberglass? I want to bring back the high gloss shine,
but am not sure if using the FSR has added an extra
step to the process.

Are you talking about a commercial product called Davis FSR?
