Hi guys. Can anyone guess the weight of a Dauntless 18 with 150 Johnson OceanPro motor, full load of gas and oil, electronics and typical accessories (PFDs, flares, anchor, etc.)?

I'm trying to size up an aluminum boat lift.

Thanks,

Henry

Figure about 3000 lbs. But for boat lifts my experience is that the higher lbs rated lifts are only a few hundred dollars more and well worth the quality and resale potential. I would go for a 4500 lb lift at the minimum and probably a 8000 lb one, if that is in the budget. Lifts are like a tool, (say cordless drill) if you buy a cheap one, you end up buying the good one later anyway, so you have paid 1.5X in the end.
