Pate fuel tanks, taxes, and liquid teflon

OK. I paid my taxes, started an enjoyable thread, and bought the Pate tank also.
A question: In articles I've read, "Liquid Teflon" is recommended for installing and sealing any brass connections to the tank. Is "Liquid Teflon" the same as using a "Loktite" type substance?
Another question: Will regular teflon tape hold a fuel seal on a boat tank?

I'll try to explain it as it was explained to me
I personally use teflon tape available at any napa store....
preferably the yellow is designated for use with pretroleum products and the white is used in conjunction with water primarily
