My 2002 180 Dauntless seems to have some small problems after her first 30 hours. This boat was purchased as a left over in July 2003. It seems some small problems are building up to a considerable amount of fairly difficult repair.
I have two locations that have broken small diameter stainless steel screws whcih need to be drilled out and replaced. Also, the supports that hold up the back seat have had the welds tacks break loose. This is a TIG weld after some work to locate things. Additionally, I have found a reset button for my bilge pump to be corroded after a single season.
Yah, this is little stuff, however I have had a few boats and this boat is tough to work on. Everthing on this boat stands out and has to look factory to hold a good value if I plan to sell in the future. I guess my point is that this is a Boston Whaler; shouldn't I just be cleaning after one season? Going back to the dealer is a three week trek towards less than TLC workmanship. Should I just get going or am I concerned, nervous about the $32k I spent,for good reason.

Just my personal experience here: the used 1999 Dauntless 16 I recently bought came to me so clean I could eat off any surface, inside or out. It would pass a Marine DI's inspection. This includes the fact that everything functioned perfectly, also. I don't think you should expect the things you described in a new boat. Have a polite but emphatic chat with the dealer. Normally, they will do everything they can to maintain customer goodwill.

I think the "Ten-year" warranty applies to the hull alone, and not to everything else attached, but I also don't think broken welds in a boat used only one season are expected.
What was mounted to the stainless steel screws that are now broken? It must have taken quite a jolt to bust the heads off of those fasteners.
Did this boat take a really big wave or similar impact some time during that initial season? I cannot imagine that the type of stress necessary to fracture welds and break stainless steel screws could happen at the dock.

No, no big waves. This is a lake boat; Sebago Lake in Maine. The problems are all associated with the stern seating. The broken screws are for the brackets on the latch and the support bracket for a tube with a raduis that holds the seat open. Also the back of the stern seat has a crack in one of the seams. These aren't big problems, they just take time and the ability to make hardware connections into some different types of material. Everthing is not tapped as indicated in BW literature.

I have a 2002 Dauntless 180, and I experienced "cracking in the seam" on the fold-up back of the stern seat during my second summer with the boat. My dealership replaced the seatback with a redesigned seatback. I was told that this was warranty work, and it was completed at no charge.
The redesigned seatback also includes redesigned latch components. The sliding metal knob is gone (no more stubbed toes). It has been replaced by a recessed black rubber/plastic slider. The new part doesn't look as a nice as the old part, but it works much better.

P.S. I believe the "cracking in the seam" issue is the same as the hatch delamination discussed in another recent thread. The original seatback appeared to be made of two separate pieces of fiberglass sandwiching some type of core material. It appeared that something(most likely moisture) was causing the core material to expand and was forcing the two fiberglass pieces apart.
