I have a 1998 Ventura with a tilt helm and cannot get the steering wheel off. Seems to be corrosion between the shaft and the steering wheel. What is the best way to remove the steering wheel?
Thanx Jimmy

With a wheel puller. you can get them at a hardware store or auto parts store.

Back the nut off until it is almost off but still covering the top threads of the shaft. Take a deep socket that would fit on the nut, turn it around and place it on the nut. Hit it with a hammer (lightly) - the wheel should pop free. Some WD 40 may help.

I vote for the 2 or 3 arm wheel/gear puller. Cheap and easy.
