I passed a marina over the week that had a 17' Dauntless on consignment. Here's the specifics

- 1996 17' Dauntless
- Boat and trailer are in great condition
- 150 HP 2 stroke Evinrude with less than 40 hours
- Stainless steel prop
- Carbs just rebuilt on motor because it has been sitting so long.
- Comes with dock cover and bimini
- Comes with tow post for water skiing

Owner asking $16500, but marina operator says he will take less.

Looks and sounds like a good deal to me. What do you think?

That boat ought to fly. It is rated for 130 hp max.

i just paid $10,000 for the same boat (1996) with a merc 115 offshore. my trailer was a pile of junk, and i had to rebuild the suspension and lighting before towing it anywhere. other than that, it was in excellent condition, it just needed a good cleaning and waxing.

i have seen them go for as much as $15,000 to $17,500 on ebay for a 1996 model. in fact, there is one on ebay right now, in really nice condition, for around $14,000.

a previous auction, this boat is EXACTLY like mine.
