Anyone have any good ideas or pictures of extra rod holder locations (I need about 8 more), gaff storage, bait tanks, and miscellaneous storage? I'm sure there are some ingenious setups out there.

There are twenty-seven photographs of a Montauk 170 showing various features and added equipment in Cetacea Page 58.

-Transom mounted trolling motor with bracket.

-9 rodholders

-Removable 72 quart cooler mounted in raised pedastal in stern. Reinforced for use as battery holder for electro-motor.

-nice deckhand in bikini :)

What's with the hole under the RPS cushion on some Montauks? My '04 doesn't have one. Did BW do away with it? I would like to build some storage under there like I saw on some of the pics. Additionally, it seemed like a good idea so that the boat could be refueled with the tanks in place, specially if the are replaced with the 13 gal. Tempos.

later,
Imanuel

Yeah, BW did away with it in 2004. Too bad.

Hi, Guys
I still believe that you can cut the 2004 RPS and create your own storage bin.

I guess one could cut a hole but there wouldn't be that "lip" to hold the storage bin. I guess one could glass the bin in place (although that sounds like a lot of work) or hold it with brackets that screw into the seat bottom from the top. Any ideas?
