Author Topic:   Flow Rate of Factory Bilge Pump, 170 MONTAUK

What is the flow rate of the factory-supplied bilge pump in the 2004 170 MONTAUK? Since pumps are realtively cheap, considering what they do, I'm just wondering if this is an area that I could upgrade when my boat comes in. Boat will see 100 % useage in open ocean and I always like the "safety margin" of evacuating the bilge of any water as quickly as possible when the seas kick up.

You might consider getting a large diaphragm type reciprocating pump. These have the advantage of being able to pump small debris without clogging.
