Great ride on my Dauntless18

Spent two days on my 1998 Dauntless 18 w/ 98 135 Optimax. Both days on Long Island Sound.
Saturday was very windy with a lot of wind-driven chop. Went out with two adults and two children for fishing. With two people at the helm and two on the back cushions, the boat had a bit of a time getting onto plane (I was pretty gentle on hole-shot, not wanting to dump anyone behind me), but once there, the ride was very nice.
On Sunday, slight winds but alot of boat traffic chop (if it's not one thing it's another) four adults and three children. Talk about fantastic. Two adults up front and two on the helm, kids traipsing about. The boat kept the bow down and drove right through the chop. Hole shot was very short and clipping along at 3,800rpm was enjoyable.
Makes me want trim-tabs in a big way. Once you get the bow down on this boat, it's a joy. Big open deck was a lot of fun while we were anchored, adults up front chatting and kids in back fishing. Plenty of room for everyone.
