Why do you use Quikleen?

I use Quickleen in my Optimax 135-HP. I was told not to use it all the time, it is very potent stuff. Dealer suggested using it every other tank. I use it with the dfi oil to help keep the carbon in the cylinders down. On the florida sportman forum, there is a well know way to decarbon using Sea Foam for all outboards, some day I might try it.

I also use Quikleen in my 2000 135 Optimax, also with DFI oil.

I do it at the recommendation of my Mercury Dealer (who also sells it!) . With a 90 gallon tank, I use it about once a month during the boating season.

I just started using quick kleen in my 75 Mercury 2-stroke mainly because of posts on this site. I don't use that much gas so cost is not a factor. I also started using merc fuel stabilizer/conditioner because it will remove carburator deposits whereas quick kleen says nothing about cleaning out the carburators. I figure it is like insurance, you probably don't need it but after the engine dies you wish you had used it.

I started using it after LHG mentioned it a couple
of years ago.He has had them same Mercs on his 25
before the continuouswave website started.
That is proof enough for me.

I have a 2000 200 hp optimax. I use walmart oil which costs me about $7 per gallon.I do not use any fuel or oil conditioners, except for fuel stabilizers for winter storage. I feel that these products are a big waste of money. Check out this link:
