Any reason why this model was produced for so few years before it was dicontinued? I am looking into purchasing one and the only drawback I can see is that the size of the console reduces the cockpit space. Any feedback on this model would be much appreciated.

I currently own a 99 21 outrage and absolutely love it. The console takes up more space only from the bow area. There is plenty of room in the midsection and stern. I would def go with captain helm seats they give you more space are more comfortable and look better

HI, I have a 1999 21ft outrage. I use it on an inland lake so it might be a little overkill. I love the boat. I fish and ski with it. Its rated for a 250hp motor which is more than the newer BW's. I believe it has more freeboard and a bigger console. All of these items may have driven cost of production up, that may be why it was redesigned or it may just not have been selling well enough. Regardless, it is a fine boat. Ward
