Has anyone rigged 12v receptacles near the back of a Conquest 23 (or similar boat)?

I've them on each side for electirc downriggers. I just run the wire up under the gunnel from the spare Acc-2 switch on the helm pannel. You can run it over to the other side just in front of the fuel tank via the front inspection hatch in the deck. You need to remove the plastic panels that has the storage cutouts from each side. Doing that, and a piece of stiff wire will let you reach the seam up under the front of the gunnel between the deck cap, and hull. You can then push the wire through. The outlets are just secured around the lower part of the front rod holder on each side with tie wraps. They have caps, and the connections are shrink wrapped and sealed, I did not fabricate any fancy mounting brackets. BillS |
