The only one that I can think of is Ocean Outboard in Freeport. We had luck with RPM marine on Montauk highway in Lindenhurst in the past. But not sure about being certified for Optimax.

Unless the problem is a water pump, or something simple, the opti needs to be put on the computer. Most mobile guys will not, or can not pay the price for the chip to read the opti's computer. There are actually two chips, an older one and a newer super chip. The newer one does a much better job of reading between the bites.

Try Burnets in Bayshore. They are one of the main dealers on LI. I used him for my lower unit on my 200 Optimax.

Burnetts is an option, current mechanic is moving to Florida. Do you know of any marinas nearby? Currently at the Anchorage but the orice keeps going up.

Thanks
