Recent dock "collision" left white streaks on black rub rail of my new 220 Dauntless. Tried non-skid cleaner..no good. Help?

Also, have a few black marks (like from tackle box or something black, not shoes) on flat fiberglass not non-skid area that non-skid/simple Green etc cleaners won't touch. Seems I may need some type of rubbing compound?? SoftSoap? Help?

Thanks much.

ps: Had the boat on Lake Erie for a week recently for some smallmouth fishing. Very windy most of the week with a lot of 3-5's. What a dry and safe and secure ride!! sure happy with the boat.

0000 steel wool and some armorall, or silicone based cleaner (or silicone spray).

W.D.40 and a rag before using abrasives. Denatured alcohol with rag. Acetone with rag (quickly) Rewax area after. Always be carefull using steel wool on a boat. The tiny little pieces that break up of the pad will show small rust spots in short order and you will have to acid wash those spots out of the deck and gel coat. If you use anything of this nature on a boat, use bronze wool. Good luck, T
