Hi, I have a 2004 210 Outrage with the fishing package. This includes a bait prep platform where the ski tow post would normally go. Is there a way to go back and forth between the two? I do a lot of fishing but would like to tow the kids occasionally. Any suggestions? Thanks...

How about using a V bridle to the transom lifting eyes? Be
sure to get one with a pully in the middle as it will make
the boat much easier to turn with a skier on.

Astro,

You can still purchase the Ski Pylon from Boston Whaler that fits right into the existing mount where your Bait Station is connected to.

Remove the quick disconnect pin and install the ski pylon. Very simple.

There were 2 types of pylons.
1. Just the straight up pylon (no rear braces)
2. The pylon with 2 arms (braces) that attached inside the splashwell.

My 1997 Outrage 17 had the one with the 2 arms (braces). It made for a much stronger ski pylon but a little bulkier when stowed.

A friend of mine has the straight up pylon. It's OK as long as you are not pulling large or professional skiers.

Thanks Joe.

I did not know the mounting bracket was the same. I will contact my local dealer and order the pylon with the braces (just to be on the safe side). On the down side, now I have no excuse for not taking the kids out. Thanks again...

Joe:

I have a 1989 supersport limited that has the base for a ski pylon (straight without the braces )but came without the pylon. I've contacted a Whaler Dealer that told me the pylons were no longer available. Does anyone know where I can find one? It sure would make my kids happy and I would like to fill the hole in the seat back where it is supposed to go.

Thanks

Try swivleze.com sold at boatersworld or west marine. Has to be special ordered. Call swivleze I believe it is the 3/4 inch threaded base and get their part #. Then order thru the store.
