This was my first season with my 97 Dauntless 20.The boat was in decent shape when I purchased it, but it was never babied. It was always, and still is salt water slip kept. When I removed the transducer and paddle wheel from the transom last spring, I discovered the screws were not caulked. I repaired the holes with marine-tex and dropped it in the water. After a season of hard use, I pulled the boat on 11/7 and drilled the lowest spot on the transom, making sure I hit foam, fully expecting seven years of water to start draining. I have been been pleasantly surprised to find this a dry hole. The boat sits very bow on its trailer, so I'm pretty confident any water would drain to this hole. MartyD
