I am wondering if anybody out there has the sun lounge option for their Outrage 210. I am interested in making my own if possible and it would be a big help if I had some idea of the construction of the OEM.

On the 23 Outrage the sun lounge is made out of
fiberglass, similiar to a hatch with non skid.
On the new 24 outrage the sun loumge is made
out of plastic or acrylic starboard.

There may be a picture of the 21 sun lounge in
the parts catalog.

I have the Sun Lounge option on my 2000 18 Outrage. Like Ed says two pieces of heavy fiberglass with non skid screwed down onto the lip in the bow and resting on blocks attached to the front of my console. Expensive from BW but the wife and kids like it.

Thanks guys, I looked at your pics Ron. That setup wouldn't work on my 210 as the anchor locker is in the front deck vs. the bow section on your setup. I would need to attach mine at the edge of the front deck and at the console. I'm thinking Starboard but don't want to put any cleats or ledges on the vertical edge of the deck. I coulod live with one on the console as it would be behind the cooler most of the time. Maybe a lip on the front edge of the filler made of stainless.

Did you say the lounge comes in two pieces for the
18 Outrage? Is that two seperate decks or deck and
cushion?

The reason I ask is I think the 24 Outrage deck
comes in two pieces that hinge in the middle.

Ron,

fno- How do you like the 2004 21 outrage? I just purchased one and have to wait to summer to use it, mine has the 200 HP optimax. What do you have for power? Sorry didnt mean to hijack your thread!

I love the boat. I have a 225 Yamamerc on it. It started life with a 175 Opti on the back, but I had the dealer swap motors before I bought it. Your 200 should be a perfect match as well. We have the comfort pkg, leaning post, T top, It's a wonderful boat. I am still debating putting tabs on her. Did you get chairs or the leaning post? The leaning post has some quirks I can tell you about.

WE have the chairs but are contemplating having the marina where we bought it put the leaning post on it instead.

Folks,

Sorry I had to run out yesterday so just getting back to you...

Kamie,

Under my profile I have pictures up on Yahoo photos, I have all kinds of pictures of the Sun Lounge.

Ed,

Yes, the Lounge comes in two pieces, with an overlapping seam running fore to aft joining the two pieces. Two separate pieces with male snaps which receive the female snaps on the bottom on the one piece cushion. The one piece cushion is large and fills the whole bow area of the 18 Outrage.

The whole package, shipped up from BW and installed by my dealer was about a $1000.00. I think it was a good compromise because it gives the family a place to hang out when I'm fishing at the business end of the boat. A 94Qt cooler under the leaning post makes loosing the cooler spot in front of the console manageable.

Rgds,
Ron
