Went to a BW dealer to look at a new Montauk, the boat had the following feautures:
90 HP 2stroke Merc
fishing package
bow cushion
3 year warranty on motor
Out the door Price 21,500
is this a resonable price for this boat?
I really appreciate to hear your opinions
Thanks MP

Let's see... assuming your sales tax in that part of Ohio is 7% like it is here,

$21,500/1.07 = $20,093 before tax

From the Whaler website "Build Your Whaler," we have a total "Nationally Advertised Selling Price" of $19,672 for a 170 with two stroke and only fishing package and bow cushion options.

So you're paying full retail price plus ($20,093 - $19,672) = $421 for shipping, setup, title fee, etc.

Doesn't seem like you're getting much, if any, price break if you're sure there are no other options on that boat.

Mine was slightly more than that but I have the Bimini top. Shipping, sea trial, set-up etc. etc. it sounds like a good deal to me. Comparing it to Twin Cities Marine prices anyway. If the dealer is close, you can't beat that either. That is certainly worth something. Good luck and hope you go through with it. Great boat!
