Nice boat; nice location. I think it would be a great place to park my 130; right beside yours. Thanks for pics. We gotta get a bimini. |

Where did you get that swell steering wheel? Also like the location. My lake has almost 2 feet of ice on it right at the moment. Roy 130 Sport |

Really pretty! (Of course, I'm prejudiced since I have one, too...) I also like the steering wheel.... What height bimini is that? (Gunwale to top dimension) |

Evan, I see you have the FGCU Edition Whaler. Did you bid on it last year at The FGCU President's Celebration? I saw your Whaler last year at the Celebration. By looking at your photos, it looks like you use one davit lift your 130? |

Royboy, the steering wheel came with the boat. had to pay extra for it but dont know what make it is. Skred, i do not know the height of the bimini, i will check it next time i am at the boat. (hopefully this weekend) Jamber, i was wondering if somone would notice that. no i didn't get it from the Fgcu presidents celebration. At that auction the boat was going to go for a very low price (i think it was around six grand or so) so bonita boat center (our local boston whaler dealer) put in a higher bid and won it. a couple weeks later it was at the lee civic center boat show right as you walked in. it didnt sell again. so another few weeks after the boat show my grandfather went to the boston whaler dealership and payed 12,600 for it. Jamber, yes i do use a single davit for it. You know those cross beams you normally use on the back of a boat on a double davit lift setup (the things that spred the cables apart). you get a really wide one, turn it parrell to the boat then put two cables on the back of it and one on the front then lift it by the three lifting eyes. its quite a simple setup. skred, are those the seats they out on the '05 130 sports? or are those aftermarket seats? i like the full bow rail but you need a stainless steel steering wheel to match it. what mods are you getting for it? Evan |

Evan, I'm glad to see the FGCU Whaler found a good home. I'm in Bonita. Thanks for the davit info, I have a spreader bar I can use, now I just need the 13 Classic or 130 Whaler to go with my 16, just like skred! Skerd, nice photo of your 16 and congrats on your 130. -James |

Evan, The former owner had a standard oem thwart seat installed with no backrest, and he added 2 swivel seats. Although comfortable, I opted to change the seat back to the original with a full-width padded seatback that folds down forward (OEM Whaler). This picture shows the former seating - I've since replaced the seating with the original "standard" with seatback. Of course, now I have the former seat with the 2 swivel seats (removable) sitting there doing nothing. I thought I might devise a different style seatback that folds backward, with legs to hold it parallel; more like a platform if one chose to use it. Either that - or find someone who really likes the idea of 2 removable swivel seats, and sell it to them.... Your're spot on with the wheel comment: I'm going to replace the wheel with a stainless one. The one shown is original, but plastic. I'm studying where to locate a 3-rod rodholder, and will install a bimini, but not a really tall one. Former owner installed downriggers on the 2 stern corners, and I plan to use them extensively on Lake Michigan Chinook and Coho. Also scheming to locate a CD/radio somewhere subtle, and a VHF - handheld if I can't find a smaller, less obtrusive antenna than what I've seen so far. Your 2004 is certainly pretty. |

Jamber, Wish I could've afforded both the 16 and the 13 but it was not to be. The 16's up on Vancouver Island somewhere. I really DO like that airborne photo, however. Credit to Dave Pendleton for that one... I still take that trip across Death's Door - even with the 130.... No Fear... |
