I have removed Wooden console, bow hatch and seats, for Resteration of exact replacement,of Philipean Mahogony, and teak. Only the "original" seats have been planned sanded and edges re-routered.I have heard clearcoat is a better finish then spar varnish,or if both should be used? There was a thread with a mans name who does re-chroming work, but I can not find. If anyone knows of a thread like this , ref. or anyone that does this type of work please send me a link. I will try to attach photo.Thankyou

Ck out www.baltimorechrome.com Ph# 410 539 4111. I have seen there ad in the Noreasster Newspaper.Intetlux wood stain brushed on and rubbed in with a rag followed by a good uruthane sealer sanded between coats has worked fine for me.

I have heard that wood is very hard to keep up ,with UV urathane . Have you heard about using Clearcoat over urathane? Even maybe with some wax?
