While trying to install a fish finder, I pulled the cable routing string all the way through without the cable. In other words no cable and no string-

What is your opinion of how I should procede to accomplish routing the cable to the consol.

It's a 2003 Montauk. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you don't have one or can't get one, try a 25'tape measure (the one with the wide tape) Jiggle it as you go, may take some patience.

Worked for me on a classic Montauk.

Fishtape at Home depot. Less than $20.00.

I do not know why I waited so long to buy this most useful item.

Thanks! It's amazing how much one will spend to try to save a few bucks.

If your not used to using the fishtape, it will be frustrating.
So take your time.

Also, make sure you replace that pull rope when your pulling the wires at the same time.

Hint: A little bit of dishwashing liquid will ease the pulling also.
