I just inherited a 1995 Rage jet 115 from an uncle of mine. It had been sitting unused for about 2 years out of the water. The problem is that when i put it in the water, after about 2 min of use, i get the high temp alarm. I tried flushing out the cooling system and got about a handful of sand. After that, i put it back in the water and i still get the alarm. In the driveway, i get good water pressure out the back and no alarms, but as soon as i drive it in the water, i get the damn alarms. Could it be bad thermostats? What is the proper way to flush out the cooling system? Thanks.

I too posted a reply in the repair section, because it was a repair issue.
