Hey Royboy-SWEET job on the bracket! I'm wondering about the square cut-out on one lower corner?

I didn't want anything to interfere with my tie down, and once I got that in my head, it kinda stuck there. I suppose my thinking was that I didn't want an edge to rub through any possible tie down, so I eliminated the metal there.

I see, as much support for the kicker as possible without wearing through the strap - Brilliant! What stock is the metal portion fabbed from?

It's 6065 T6 Aluminum in 3/8" Plate. The whole thing took slightly less than a 18 X 24" piece. I chose it for it's welding abd machining attributes.

Is the high seatback standard? I haven't seen that before.

My compliments on a very nicely outfitted boat.

The seat back was apparently standard in 2000, but was changed shortly thereafter. It's quite comfortable, but must be tied down while towing. If not tied down it is very prone to snapping open, which it doesn't look like it was designed for. Folded down, it's easy to step over to gain access to the aft cockpit. It's carpeted on the back and it's sturdy enough to stand on, although I wouldn't recommend it in anything but flat calm conditions. I like it being one long bench vs. a couple of seats because it's very easy to balance the load side to side this way.
